David C.
Darnell is an international leader, speaker, consultant, and educator on EDI
(Electronic Data Interchange), EBT (Electronic Business Transactions, i.e.,
used in Ontario, Canada), XML (eXtensible Markup Language) standards and
technology, Internet protocols and security, and Information Technology/EC
risk assessment.
Dave's 30 years of IT/EC experience has
included Director, Sales Administration, at
Amcor Electronics, Inc., Planning and MIS
Manager for Motorola, Inc., and Vice
President of Operations at Commercial
Telephone Group, Inc. He has also been
a faculty member at the University of
Phoenix, Arizona State University, and the
University of Texas at Arlington. Dave
has a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from
the University of Texas and an M.B.A. from
the University of Dallas.
Dave established Systrends in 1986, and has devoted his talents and
resources to providing and promoting cutting-edge business-to-business
communication: First, with VAN-based EDI; then with Internet EDI; and
now with XML, ebXML, and open platform, many-to-many solutions and services
for transmission, transport, translation, and transaction management.
Dave's accomplishments include successful major EC projects--consulting,
standards development, software development, implementation and integration--in the U.S.,
Canada; and his associations include leadership in EC standards
associations in the energy, retail, and healthcare industries.
