“Apps” have revolutionized the mobile lifestyle. They allow users to customize their mobile devices to their specific needs and desires. More than ever, businesses have a need to be connected to email, contacts, reports and documents. In fact, businesses rely on Smartphone technology for roughly 80 percent of what they need for work.
Mobility is why Systrends decided to develop the eTariff and T2 iPad apps. By combining our suite of products, we provide the toolbox required to manage data mobile strategies. Viewing tariffs, for example, is common practice on FERC.gov in the energy industry, but what about people on the go? It is difficult to view the government website on a mobile phone, which is why Systrends developed the first eTariff app.
The app connects to eTariff software databases and allows users to view any public tariff available. The application is based on Systrends eTariffWeb application but is constructed just for the iPad. It also utilizes Systrends T2 and eTariff products to send tariff information to the app. It will store selected companies and provide automatic updates when a new tariff is available.
Systrends realizes that not everyone has Apple iPads, iPods or iPhones, so plans are in the works for future app development with other mobile devices. Apple is just the first step into the mobile world for Systrends.
