September 7, 2011 New Software put into action to file 549D quarterly report
FERC order 735A revised the 549 form to require additional information to cover storage and transportation transactions and changed that the form be filed quarterly. This order mandates that all intrastate natural gas pipeline companies, who provide interstate service, file this new quarterly report.
Systrends has developed an easy-to-use program called eFile549 which will convert spreadsheets, XML or PDF containing the required form information into the FERC fillable 549D PDF form for eFiling. The software will also generate XML from any spreadsheet which will be the basis for upcoming changes to EQR by FERC.
eFile549 has an automated process to complete the multi-page PDF form, eliminating the lengthy process of finalizing multiple forms for each contract. In addition this application will validate the data, reducing the possibility of filing errors and generate a variety of reports based on the filings created by the software. The first filing using eFile549 has recently been generated and accepted by FERC.
