June 5, 2012 What to do if the font changes with Document Generation

<DIV><SPAN style="FONT-FAMILY: Verdana"><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: medium"> <DIV style="LINE-HEIGHT: 13.5pt"><SPAN style="COLOR: #666666; FONT-SIZE: 13.5pt">When you use document generation either on the FERC Submission tab or in Master Tariff, and notice that the fonts have changed throughout the document, this is the result of Microsoft Word settings. </SPAN></DIV> <DIV style="LINE-HEIGHT: 13.5pt"><SPAN style="COLOR: #666666; FONT-SIZE: 13.5pt">If one section&nbsp;created with Word&nbsp;has the settings&nbsp;for&nbsp;Heading 1, Heading 2, Heading 3, and Normal set to a particular font, for example Times New Roman, and another section created with Word has the headings set to a different font, for example Arial, Document Generation will change the fonts to all be the same of the first section.</SPAN></DIV> <DIV style="LINE-HEIGHT: 13.5pt"><SPAN style="COLOR: #666666; FONT-SIZE: 13.5pt">To fix this issue, it is important that all documents be created with the same Heading and font settings in Microsoft Word each time.</SPAN></DIV> <DIV style="LINE-HEIGHT: 13.5pt"><SPAN style="COLOR: #666666; FONT-SIZE: 13.5pt">Microsoft Word&nbsp;is also why table of contents can sometime become an issue with document generation.&nbsp; Adding sections in-between others will create word to re-number the table of contents when using document generation.&nbsp; There is not much eTariff can do about it.&nbsp; We are developing some work-arounds for the problem, but you can help by making sure settings in word are always set identical each time for every user creating documents for the tariff.</SPAN></DIV></SPAN></SPAN></DIV>
