What is happening?
​Systrends has acquired HData Compliance, a solution used by nearly 80 regulated energy utilities and pipelines to prepare and file annual and quarterly financial reports with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). With this acquisition, Systrends will assume responsibility for the HData Compliance solution and all related customer relationships. HData will continue operating its Analytics and Intelligence solutions independently.
Why did this acquisition occur?
HData is focusing growth on regulatory intelligence, while Systrends is excited to expand its core business in FERC reporting—nearly doubling its customer base in eForms—and carry forward the industry’s most advanced XBRL solution. Both companies believe this transition ensures the best filing experience and long-term support for customers.

Product Continuity
Will the HData Compliance product continue to exist and be supported?
Yes. Systrends will continue to offer the HData Compliance solution to current and new customers. There will be no changes to core functionality or the filing experience, customers can expect the same reliable workflows and support.
When will the transition to Systrends occur?

HData: Through Friday, October 24, 2025 at 9:00 pm ET, access the solution through HData.

Maintenance Window: The application will be temporarily unavailable during migration from Friday, October 24 at 9:00 pm ET through Monday, October 27 at 9:00 am ET.

Systrends: Beginning Monday, October 27, 2025 at 9:00 am ET, customers will access the solution through Systrends.
If the migration extends beyond the planned window, customers will be notified via email.
Will my data and filings remain available?
All historical and in-progress filings and data will be accessible immediately following the migration on Monday, October 27, 2025 at 9:00 am ET. Users will access the application through Systrends' domain.
What do I need to do during the transition?
On Monday, October 27 at or around 9:00 am ET, all registered users will receive a password reset link from Systrends to re-establish access to the solution through Systrends. Single Sign-On (SSO) and Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) will also be available at that time.
Is Systrends secure?
Systrends maintains a SOC 2 Type II attestation, commits to 99.5% uptime, and will continue to host the acquired solution on the same scalable cloud-based infrastructure.

Support
Who will provide customer support going forward?
HData will continue to provide customer support through support@hdata.com until the migration begins Friday, October 24, 2025 at 9:00 pm ET. Thereafter, Systrends will provide support through eforms@systrends.com.
Will my service levels and account management change?
While your support team will change, Systrends is committed to maintaining the high level of service you’ve come to expect. Britt Cohen, HData’s former VP of Customer Success, has joined Systrends to help guide the transition and ensure continuity. She will be working closely with Renee Feeney, Systrends’ VP of Customer Success, and the broader support team. Backed by over 15 years of experience in FERC reporting software, Systrends is well-positioned to serve your team with responsiveness, reliability, and deep regulatory expertise.
Where will the Knowledge Base live?
HData will continue to support the Knowledge Base until the migration begins Friday, October 24, 2025 at 9:00 pm ET. Beginning Monday, October 27, 2025 at 9:00 am ET, Systrends will host the Knowledge Base.

Contracts & Billing
Will my existing contract, pricing, and terms remain the same?
Yes, all customers will continue to be served through existing contracts with the same pricing and terms. Customers who have contracted additionally for HData’s Business Intelligence solution will continue to receive access at hdata.com through their current term, then will contract independently with HData thereafter.
Do I need to sign a new agreement with Systrends?
No, all agreements have been assigned to Systrends as is, pending relevant approvals.
Will billing or invoicing change?
Beginning October 1, 2025, customers will receive invoices directly from Systrends for subsequent terms and renewal periods. Customers with unpaid invoices from HData should remit payment to HData.
What actions should I take to ensure a seamless transition?

For Systrends Customers
How does this acquisition benefit me?
While both solutions offer automated XBRL tagging, the HData Compliance solution also offers real-time collaboration, internally- and FERC-formatted PDF outputs for review, revision comparison with redlines, fact-level audit trail and saving, footnote insertion via comments in Excel, keyboard shortcuts, and advanced workflows for large enterprises. Customers will benefit from access to the new eForms solution without changes to their current terms and price.
Will this impact my Q3 2025 filings?
No. Current Systrends customers will continue to use our eFINForms solution without disruption through the Q3 2025 filings. Customers will be able to transition to the new eForms solution beginning in November 2025 and ahead of preparing annual filings due in April 2026.

When will I be able to access the new eForms solution?

Following submission of the Q3 2025 filings, Systrends will support only the new eForms solution going forward. Systrends will provide data migration, user training, and white-glove assistance with your first filing in the new eForms solution at no cost. We will facilitate migration between Monday, December 1, 2025 and Friday, February 27, 2026 to provide sufficient time for internal training ahead of the annual filing deadlines in April 2026.

Systrends is hosting a webinar exclusively for existing customers on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at 11:00 am ET. During the webinar, we will demonstrate the new eForms solution, discuss the migration plan, and address questions you may have. Register for the webinar here.
